Reflections of the Last Week – March 12, 2018

Written by on March 12, 2018

As I sit here quietly on a Sunday night watching these ENORMOUS flakes fall at the speed of snow, fresh off the heels of some real chill music from Madison Lewis and The Sunday Sessions, View From The Control Room at Earthtone Studios.

I look back on a fairly magical week. Last Sunday our good friend, Eddy Green drove down from Chicago to practice, record and perform  as our Featured Artist at the Earthtone Showcase . It was a huge treat to have Stephen Couch play with Eddy and The Boxwine Prophets. We recorded the first song towards the Little Feat Tribute to be featured on The Little Feat Show . You can check out Tuesday’s live performances from The Levee (Roll Me Easy and Three Blind Angels).

On Monday I was able to steal some time with Jeremy Irvin from Copper & Kings and discuss some VERY COOL initiatives for Live Music Tuesdays @ The Levee.

Gill Holland stopped by Music Tech Connect to discuss mutual interests in the local music scene and connecting/creating pathways for existing non-profit organizations and helping corporations have a presence in the non-profit communities.

The team from Crosley Brands also came out for Music Tech Connect and stayed through The Earthtone Showcase to get a better understanding of all my crazy music ideas. RK is my new favorite dance partner.

Wednesday was International Woman’s Day … and I smiled and relaxed into the knowing that everything was going to be alright despite the fact that sometimes I’m terrified out of my mind!  I even completed an application for the WILD accelerator – will find out this week who the finalists are.  Fingers Crossed!

Huge Thank You to all the Phenomenal Women in my life.  I could NEVER do what I do without the strength, support, GROUND and inspiration of you ladies. Kings to YOU!!!!  Jennifer Zink, Zola Vernon, Kristin Riddick, Robin Smith, Laura Thornhill, Alexa Thayer, Pam Litzelswope, Love Yoscone, Ladonna Nicholas, Michelle Thayer, Anna Kepshire, Dawn Yankeelove, Ashley Wilczek.
